1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — your name, contact details, tax documents, and financial records — to deliver the services you engage us for. We also collect limited analytics data (page views, device type, referring URL) when you browse this site.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To prepare returns, advisory deliverables, and IRS correspondence on your behalf.
  • To communicate about your engagement, billing, and deadlines.
  • To improve our website and services through aggregated, de-identified analytics.

3. How We Protect It

Documents and personally identifiable information are stored in encrypted, access-controlled systems. Only personnel with a legitimate business need can access your file. We never sell client data — full stop.

4. Sharing

We share data only with (a) authorities you authorize us to file with (IRS, state agencies), (b) sub-processors under written confidentiality (e-signature, secure storage), or (c) when legally compelled. A list of sub-processors is available on request.

5. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion subject to our records-retention obligations under IRS Circular 230 and state CPA rules. Email privacy@meridian.tax.

6. Retention

Tax workpapers are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to satisfy regulatory and audit requirements. Marketing data is purged annually unless you remain an active client.
